GoodFit Manly FAQ's
What if I haven’t exercised in years?
No judgment here—I’ll meet you where you are. We start with basics to build strength and power at your pace, so you feel stronger.
Is GoodFit about losing weight?
GoodFit is about a lifestyle shift to build strength and power, not chasing a number on the scale. Weight might change as a bonus, but the real win is feeling stronger and more capable every day.
Why train for strength at my age?
After 40, menopause hits muscle and bones hard. Strength training fights back – it boosts power, cuts weight gain and keeps us fit and healthy.
How does cardio fit in for women over 40?
After 40, stamina can dip and heart health matters more. I mix cardio bursts into sessions to build endurance alongside strength—keeping it fun.
Will I be running?
Not heaps—think short bursts for cardio. We focus more on strength and power, but I’ll mix in some movement to keep your heart pumping.
Will I have to lift weights?
Ideally we incorporate manageable weights to build strength. I’ll match it to your level, so it’s doable and effective. Bodyweight exercises alone can an extremely effective way to train.
Will this help with energy for my busy life?
Hopefully, that is the aim.
Only 6 in a group – what if I want a private session with a friend?
Max 6 keeps it personal but if you’d like a private session with a friend, no worries—just call me! We can set up a duo or group session that works for you and your friends. Let’s chat and make it happen.
Can I bring a friend?
For sure! If there’s space (max 6), they’re welcome to join. Just give me a heads-up so I can plan.
Are you qualified and insured?
Yes, I’m a certified trainer with insurance.
What if it rains?
We keep going! Dress for it, bring a towel and I’ll bring the energy – it’s part of the vibe.
What happens if we have extreme weather?
Rain’s fine, but if it’s a storm or heatwave, I’ll reschedule or move somewhere sheltered. Safety first—I’ll keep you posted.
Are we training on concrete or grass?
Good question... we will be doing a mixture of both dependent on the exercise and also the weather but exercises will altered and modified to suit.
Can I sit some exercises out if I’m tired?
Totally, listen to your body. I’ll suggest alternatives or let you rest, then jump back in when you’re ready. It’s your pace.
What to bring?
Comfy gym gear (maybe some layers for outdoor), water bottle and a towel. As we are outdoors and consider having some sunscreen and a peaked cap in your gym bag. Also if applicable, remember any medication you may need.
What’s your cancellation policy?
4 hours notice prior to any booked session (refund or reschedule).
